Bashar al-Assad accuses Turkey of displacing Syrians, forgetting the massacres he committed against the Syrian people
Bashar al-Assad today, Wednesday, delivered a recorded speech at a conference for refugees organized by Russia in Syria, with the aim of returning refugees abroad to Syria.
In his pre-prepared speech, Bashar al-Assad attacked Turkey, accusing Ankara of displacing millions of Syrians, forgetting the role of his forces and the militias loyal to them, in addition to Russia’s warplanes, in destroying the infrastructure in Syria and displacing millions of citizens.
In his speech, the Russian envoy claimed that Russia and the Assad regime are constantly seeking to return the Syrian refugees, accusing Europe and the United States of America of imposing stifling policies on the Syrian people and the Assad regime.
Russia led the refugee conference at the Umayyad Conference Palace in Damascus today, Wednesday, in the presence of representatives of China, Russia, Iran, Lebanon, the UAE, Pakistan and Oman, claiming that the return of Syrian refugees to Syria and providing suitable conditions for their return is the main goal of the conference.
It is worth noting that since Russia’s military intervention in Syria, the systematic Russian bombing has left more than 6,500 victims, including nearly two thousand children, and the Russian aggression planes have targeted more than 200 medical facilities in Syria, as well as causing the displacement of millions in various Syrian governorates.
