To face economic sanctions.. a joint financial bank between Iran and the Assad regime
Iranian media revealed Iran’s intention to establish a joint bank with the Assad regime with the aim of exchanging financial transfers between them in an attempt to face the economic sanctions imposed on them by the United States of America.
According to what was reported by the Iranian news agency, “Fars”, a member of the “Iranian Authority for Economic Dealings with Syria and Iraq” revealed that the joint bank for communication between Iranian and Syrian banks was imminent.
According to what was revealed by the Iranian official “Gul Mohammadi” in the “National Challenges Authority to achieve an export boom,” the technical preparations for the electronic communication project between Syrian and Iranian banks are in their final stages.
Mohammadi indicated that the tasks of the joint bank are to deal with the problems of financial transfers between the two countries, in addition to that the joint chamber of commerce will be launched in the coming months with the participation of several Iranian companies.
The announcement of the joint financial bank between the two countries comes in an effort to form an “arbitration panel” between Iranian and Syrian merchants, to avoid resorting to courts, amid Iranian promises to address Western economic sanctions that are said to be imposed on both sides.
On Tuesday, the US Treasury Department imposed new economic sanctions on entities affiliated with the Assad regime, which included 7 personalities, including Asmaa Al-Akhras and 10 entities, including the Syrian Central Bank, for their support of the Assad regime against the Syrian people.
