Assad regime’s foreign ministry claims Washington is on its way to inevitable failure in Syria
The Assad regime’s Foreign Ministry said the U.S. decision to continue imposing sanctions under the umbrella of the “Caesar’s Law” on the Assad regime was on its way to “the inevitable failure of aggression against Syria.”
In response to a report by the U.S. Embassy on Sunday, Assad’s foreign ministry expressed surprise at the State Department’s statement on continued sanctions against regime figures.
“The U.S. administration must finally realize that the aggression against Syria is on its way to the inevitable failure of the Syrians, and that the future of Syria is an exclusive right of its own, and the American administration or others will have no role or opinion in this area,” the official media quoted an official source in the Assad regime’s foreign ministry as saying.
The source claimed to the pro-SANA news agency that “the suffering experienced and suffered by the Syrians is a direct result of american-backed terrorism,” as he described it.
The U.S. Embassy in Damascus announced yesterday via its social media accounts that the administration of President Donald Trump will continue the sanctions imposed on the regime under the “Caesar” law, which affected more than 90 people and entities.
