The Turkish Relief Foundation launches a campaign “Goodness is our Track and Humanitarian Aid is our Cargo” to relieve the Syrians
The Turkish Humanitarian Relief Organization (İHH) is preparing to send hundreds of trucks carrying aid from 81 Turkish provinces to Syria on next Thursday, which is Human Rights Day.
The Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation launched the campaign under the title “Goodness is our Track and Humanitarian Aid is our cargo” to relieve needy Syrians who are living in difficult conditions due to winter and lack of resources.
The Secretary-General of the organization, Dormush Aidan, told Anadolu Agency that what has been happening in Syria since 2011 is one of the biggest humanitarian crises after World War II.
He pointed to the Syrians need for aid, especially cleaning, food, heating and sleeping, supplies in addition to the requirements of children, also rain and cold protective equipment.
Aiden called for supporting the humanitarian campaign launched by the organization throughout Turkey, indicating that there are also donors from other countries who provide support in this regard.
He explained that the authority receives donations, whether in terms of stuffs or money, and those willing persons can contact it via phone or offices in order to donate.
The Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation aims to collect aid with more than 400 trucks as part of the campaign supported by many institutions and organizations.
Turkish organizations and associations such as the Disaster and Emergency Management “AFAD”, the Turkish Red Crescent, “İHH” and “Sadaqa Tashi” and others, continue to provide assistance to the displaced who live in difficult conditions and lack of resources in Syria.
