The revolutionary factions thwarted an infiltration attempt by the Assad regime on Jabal Al-Zawiya
Yesterday, Sunday evening, a number of members of the Assad regime forces were killed, and others were wounded, in a failed infiltration attempt on Jabal Al-Zawiya, south of Idlib.
The correspondent of Fresh Online said that the Assad regime forces tried to infiltrate the Horsh Benin axis in Jabal Al-Zawiya, and the revolutionary factions managed to thwart the infiltration attempt and caused many of the Assad regime forces to be killed or wounded, in conjunction with violent clashes between the two sides.
Our correspondent added, that the clashes included artillery and missile strikes between the revolutionary factions and the Assad regime forces.
The revolutionary factions were able to repel three infiltration attempts by the Assad regime forces during last November, on the fronts of the southern countryside of Idlib, with the continued bombing of villages and towns located on the front line.
On the other hand, the Turkish army sent new military reinforcements to Idlib governorate, yesterday evening, Sunday, where they entered from the Kafrlossin border crossing, and included military vehicles and logistical equipment.
The correspondent of Fresh Online said that a Turkish army convoy entered last night, Sunday, the Kafrlossin crossing, and headed towards the Turkish military bases deployed in Jabal Al-Zawiya.
Our correspondent added that the convoy consists of about 30 vehicles, including tanks, military bulldozers, and trucks loaded with logistical materials, food, ammunition, and armored vehicles.
The correspondent stated that the Turkish army recently brought huge reinforcements to Jabal al-Zawiya and established a number of military bases in separate locations, in conjunction with the withdrawal of a number of Turkish observation points south of Idlib and northern Hama, which are in the areas controlled by the Assad regime.
Idlib governorate is subject to the Moscow agreement signed between the Turkish president and his Russian counterpart, on March 5, which stipulated a ceasefire and the establishment of a safe passage on the international highway Aleppo-Latakia (M4), until the towns and villages of Jabal al-Zawiya are witnessing a military escalation by the regime forces. Al-Assad and the militias supporting him, where the Syria Response Coordinators team documented 4,128 violations of the signed agreement by the Assad regime forces and Russia, which left 52 civilian martyrs, since the agreement came into force until December 7.
