British Minister of Health: The Oxford vaccine will provide an opportunity to survive the Corona pandemic
The British Minister of Health, Matt Hancock, announced that the vaccine approved by Britain today will provide an opportunity to survive the Corona virus pandemic by next spring, indicating that the Ministry of Health will present more details about the dosing regimen later today.
The British Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency has approved a vaccine developed by the British “Oxford” University and the “AstraZeneca” company, to prevent Corona virus.
This is the second vaccine that Britain approved after its approval of the American-German “Pfizer-bioNTech” vaccine on December 2, and the vaccination campaign began on December 8.
Britain has requested 100 million doses of the vaccine, and it is the first country in the world to approve this vaccine, according to Reuters , today, Wednesday on December 30th.
The British “Joint Commission on Vaccination and Immunization” (JCVI) warned that the priority should be to vaccinate large numbers as quickly as possible, rather than completing the two-dose regimen immediately.
The first dose of the vaccine will be given to as many people as possible, followed by a second dose 4-12 weeks later.
