Eleven civilians were killed and more than 25 others were injured on Sunday morning as Russian warplanes targeted Jisr al-Shughur and the surrounding of Idleb city.
Radio Fresh’s correspondent said that the Russian airstrikes targeted a popular market amid Jisr al-Shughur, causing civilian casualties and a massive damage to the public and private properties.
Russian warplanes also launched several airstrikes on the outskirts of Idleb city, killing two civilians and injuring others. A huge fire sparked as a result of the shelling.
Jabal al-Arbaeen area near Ariha city, and the towns of Benin and Sarja in Idleb southern countryside were also shelled, however no human casualties were reported.
It is noteworthy that Russian warplanes targeted on Saturday the village of Basbat in Idleb western countryside, killing two civilians and injuring others.
Radio Fresh’s correspondent reported that the Russian airstrikes targeted Al-Khader hills in the northern Latakia countryside, as well as the villages of Al-Marand and Basbat in the western Idleb countryside.
The correspondent added that the shelling targeted workers harvesting wheat, killing two of them and injuring others, while the civil defense teams managed to reach the area and extricate the victims.
