Erdogan: We will work to solve the problem of Syrian Democratic Forces radically from Syria

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: “Turkey will not tolerate towards Syrian Democratic Forces at all which occupies a third of Syria, and will soon take steps to solve this problem radically.

Erdogan’s statement came during his participation in the eighth Ordinary Provincial Congress of the ruling Justice and Development Party in the state of Mersin, southern Turkey.

Erdogan made it clear that “the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have two options, either lay down their arms, or we will eliminate them.”

Erdogan pointed out that “SDF will not be able to find a party to protect it or be arrogant behind because the interests and calculations of the forces it trusts in the region have changed.”

Erdogan stated: “Turkey will not be fully secured as long as there are separatist terrorists holding arms in Syria.”

Erdogan stressed that “his country will support all efforts aimed at ensuring Syria’s political unity, territorial integrity, social peace, and reconstruction.”

Erdogan stressed: “From now on, the future of the region will be determined by its people, and that the natural resources will be in the hands of the true owners of the region,” referring to the oil fields.

At the conclusion of his speech, Erdogan pointed out that “history has proven the rightful of their position on Syria. The Baath regime in Syria, which spared no effort to oppress its people for 61 years, collapsed within days, and the head of the former regime, Bashar al-Assad, fled the country without looking back.”
