Large explosions, accompanied by fires, hit on Sunday morning the mountain range around Dummar and Qudsaya suburbs in Damascus city, according to local and loyal media outlets.
The “Voice of Capital” website said that the large explosions and fires were caused by airstrikes on the vicinity of Damascus, while sources linked to Assad regime said that the explosions were not caused by an aggression.
According to the Russian “Sputnik” news agency, the Israeli aircrafts launched a number of missiles from the Golan Heights towards the vicinity of Damascus.
The explosions targeted Iranian military storage depots around Qudsaya and Dummar suburbs in Damascus.
Israel has intensified in recent months its attacks on airports and air bases belonging to the Assad regime in order to disrupt Iran’s increasing use of air supply lines aiming at sending weapons to its allies in Syria and Lebanon.
