Russian Foreign Ministry affirms the need to prevent Gaza war spilling over into Syria and neighboring countries
Russian Deputy Foreign minister, Sergei Vershinin, and Assad regime’s Deputy Foreign minister, Bassam Sabbagh, affirmed the need to prevent Gaza war spilling over into other countries in the region.
The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement, in which they discussed the current situation in the area of Israeli- Palestinian conflict, and in this regard, the ministry emphasized the need to prevent spilling over the war into other countries in the region.
The ministry claimed that the meeting focused on issues related to Syrian-Russian interaction on international platforms, especially in New York, adding that the special attention of international and humanitarian aid for Syria is according to rules of international and humanitarian law.
It is noteworthy that Israel carried out more than 15 airstrikes on sites of Assad regime and Iranian militias in Syria since the start of aggression on Gaza strip, putting the international Damascus and Aleppo airports out of service for several times during the previous weeks.
The Israeli occupation army posted las Wednesday, on December 13, video clips showing strikes of artillery and fighter aircrafts on military targets in Lebanon and Syria.
