Washington calls on Russia and Assad regime to commit to the ceasefire agreement in northern Syria
The United Nations called on Russia and Assad regime to end the brutal attacks campaign in north-west Syria and adhere to the ceasefire agreement signed four years ago.
U.S. Embassy in Syria posted on “X” platform on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the ceasefire agreement in Syria.
The U.S. Embassy called on all the parties to adhere to the ceasefire throughout Syria and set the necessary conditions to reach a political solution to the conflict.
Idleb province frequently subjected to attacks by Assad regime forces in collaboration with the Russian aircrafts, mostly lead to civilian casualties and new displacement waves.
It is noteworthy that on 5 March 2020, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, met in Moscow and reached agreement on a ceasefire in and around Idleb.
