Qatari and Saudi talks in the corridors of the United Nations to enhance cooperation between the two countries
The permanent representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mouallimi, received in his office at the delegation headquarters in New York, the permanent representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, Sheikha Alia Al Thani.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination on common issues in the corridors of the United Nations.
This is the second announced meeting between officials from Qatar and Saudi Arabia since the signing of the Gulf reconciliation agreement on January 5, during the Al-Ula summit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On Wednesday, Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan Al-Muraikhi discussed with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Saudi Embassy to Qatar, Ali Saad Al-Qahtani, during a meeting in Doha, bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
The Gulf reconciliation agreement ended a boycott of Doha that began in June 2017 by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the Emirates and Egypt.
