The Syrian Democratic Forces welcomes the formation of a transitional military council.. and an official spokesman clarifies
The Syrian Democratic Forces have welcomed the formation of a transitional military council to manage the country in a transitional phase, provided that all Syrian forces are represented with the presence of a political entity that represents all political forces with tasks that complement each other.
On the conditions for the Syrian Democratic Forces to accept the formation of the Council, the official spokesman for the Northern Democratic Brigade, Mahmoud Habib, to Fresh, “There are no conditions imposed by the SDF on the formation of the Military Council, and they were very cooperative with the internal and regional parties, and when we find a suitable opportunity for a unified framework for the military and political forces
Syria welcomes it, we support it, and we are directly involved with it, and I do not think that the conditions go beyond the preservation of the Syrian Democratic Forces. ”
Regarding the tasks that will be assigned to the Council after its formation, Al Habib continues, “In light of the international clash taking place on the Syrian arena, we find that there is a catastrophic failure to implement Resolution 2254 and the decisions of the Geneva Conference, as well as the failure of the three guarantors of the Astana and Sochi agreements and their implementation, which led to the continuation of the political and military clash in
Syria is without a solution, and one of the first tasks of the Military Council is to remove the political solution from the forefront because there is no popular consensus on this aspect.
Al-Habib continues, “The Military Council has a military hierarchy and can manage the executive, legislative and judicial tasks in the state. By receiving these powers, it can create the atmosphere for a political climate that allows the people to express themselves and satisfy all internal and external parties.”
Al-Habib affirms that one of the first tasks of the Military Council is to unify the ranks and launch the people towards a new space away from the theory of the regime that clings to power and the theory of the opposition that is subject to the path of foreign parties.
On the independence of the council, Al-Habib said, “I do not think that the military council has a political interface, because this is a complicated and dangerous process.
There is a current policy in Syria, as the regime is no longer convincing to its incubator and the opposition as well, and this is due to the futility of some foreign countries, as the military council is more disciplined and responsible and avoids politics and political games, thus satisfying what the Syrian people aspire to get out of this quagmire.
Al-Habib believes that the political independence of the Military Council insures it and those in charge of it, the ability to carry out their political and diplomatic tasks to the fullest.
Gabriel Keno, the official spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces, said in a previous press conference that the formation of the military council is an essential step for the solution in Syria, and that the SDF is ready to participate in the military body, and revealed the existence of contacts with the dissident Syrian Brigadier General Manaf Tlass with the aim of reaching understandings that satisfy all parties.
