Wall Street Journal: Israel targeted 12 ships carrying oil bound for Syria
The Wall Street Journal said yesterday evening, Thursday, that Israel has targeted 12 ships loaded with Iranian crude oil bound for Syria.
The newspaper reported that these Israeli military moves are a new front for the conflict between Israel and Iran, noting that this is the first time that these attacks have been uncovered.
The report stated that since late 2019, Israel has launched operations using weapons such as water mines to strike Iranian ships or those carrying Iranian shipments heading towards Syria in the Red Sea and in other areas of the region.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli forces launched several air strikes against military sites of Iranian militias in the Syrian territories, causing deaths and injuries and major losses in military equipment.
