A million barrels of Iranian oil are on their way to the Assad regime-controlled areas, so how many days will it meet its needs?
The “Tanker Trackers” website, which specializes in tracking oil tankers, said that an Iranian oil tanker carrying one million barrels of oil is approaching the Suez Canal on its way to Syria, and it needs three days to arrive if nothing new happens.
The site said in a tweet on its Twitter account, that a tanker carrying one million barrels of Iranian crude oil is approaching the Suez Canal in the Red Sea, and it is “part of a larger fleet of tankers bound for Baniyas in Syria.”
He added, “We have determined them all visually. The first one will arrive in about three days, it all depends on the congestion.”
According to informed sources, the amount of oil meets the needs of the Assad regime-controlled areas for about 12 days without the reduction rates recently announced by the “Ministry of Oil”, and it may reach about a month with the announced rationing.
The Assad regime-controlled areas need daily 100,000 barrels of crude oil, of which only 20 to 24 thousand are available. Therefore, the need to import amounts to about 80 thousand barrels of oil per day, according to previous official statements.
During the past days, the areas under the Assad regime’s control witnessed an almost complete paralysis of traffic after the imposition of additional rationing of transportation allocations of gasoline and diesel.
