137 new infections and 11 deaths from the Coronavirus were recorded in all Syrian regions
Various regions in northern Syria recorded an increase in the death toll from Corona, with the detection of 59 infections and 4 deaths, while the health of the Assad regime recorded 24 infections and two deaths, and the Syrian Democratic Forces 54 infections and 5 new deaths.
In the details, the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the EWARN Program of the Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network (EWARN) in the Support Coordination Unit announced the registration of 59 infections and 4 deaths in northern Syria.
The network concerned with monitoring the outcome of Corona in northern Syria indicated that the new infections were recorded, raising the total number to 24,609, and the recovery cases were 21,240, and 688 deaths.
The network confirmed that the number of cases tested during 395, bringing the total number of cases tested to 144,875 in northern Syria.
The network pointed out that 4 new deaths were recorded within 24 hours in the areas of Al-Bab, Afrin, Azaz, and 3 deaths related to Covid-19 were classified by the Health Information System Unit, and one case of health sector workers, without acceptable cases in the hospital.
The network recorded 32 new infections in the “Peace Spring” areas in the northeast of the country, bringing the number of infections to 1,684, 251 cases of recovery and 19 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Assad regime’s Ministry of Health announced the registration of 24 new infections with the Corona virus, in addition to the registration of two new deaths.
According to the ministry’s statement, the number of infections reached 24,767, while the number of deaths reached 1,806, while the number of people recovered reached 21,663 after recording 5 recovery cases for previous cases.
On the other hand, the “Health Authority” of the Syrian Democratic Forces announced the registration of 54 new infections and 5 deaths from the Corona virus in its areas of control.
Thus, the number of cases rose to 18,247, including 749 deaths and 1,841 cases of recovery.
It is noteworthy that the Assad regime is taking advantage of the outbreak of the epidemic in its areas of control and continues to ignore health measures, as is the case in areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces, while warnings about the repercussions of the outbreak of the pandemic are mounting in northern Syria due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in displacement camps.
