Several civilians were wounded today, Monday, as a result of artillery shelling by the Assad regime forces on the village of Mara’an, south of Idlib.
Our correspondent said: The artillery shelling of the Assad regime forces on the outskirts of Mara’an village in Jabal Al-Zawiya, resulted in the injury of several civilians, including a woman and her three children, and destruction in the targeted place.
The reporter added that the Assad regime forces bombed with heavy artillery the village of Al-Najiya in the western countryside of Idlib, without information on the extent of the damage.
Yesterday, Sunday, the Assad regime forces targeted a camp for the displaced in the town of Taoum, east of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells, and the damage was limited to material.
Last Thursday, the Assad regime forces committed a massacre in the village of Iblin, south of Idlib, which killed 10 civilians and wounded others, including women and children.
Last Saturday, the Response Coordinators Group stated in a statement that the bombing of the Assad regime, which affected several areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, caused a new wave of displacement in the residential neighborhoods in the villages.
The statement called on all parties concerned with the Syrian file to work to stop the violations of the Assad regime and Russia, targeting residential neighborhoods, and stopping the escalation operations so that civilians can return to their areas and settle there.
The response team appealed to humanitarian organizations to assist the newly displaced who fled the bombing of the Assad regime forces and to provide them with the necessary assistance until stability is achieved and their return to their areas.
