The EWARN confirmed 8 new cases of COVID-19 in northwest Syria
Today, Sunday, the Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network of the Support Coordination Unit confirmed 8 new infections with Coronavirus in northwestern Syria.
The network indicated that the new cases were distributed among 4 in Idlib governorate and 4 in the countryside of Aleppo, noting that the total number of infections in northwestern Syria rose to 25,985.
The network also conducted 177 new analyzes, bringing the total of analyzes in the governorates of Idlib and Aleppo to 158,964 analyzes, noting that 50 cases of recovery from the virus were recorded, bringing the total recovery cases to 22,852.
It is noteworthy that warnings are mounting about the repercussions of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic in the regions of northern Syria due to the overcrowding of the region, especially in the displacement camps, the great lack of capabilities of the health directorates, and the lack of equipment and machines, which in turn work to limit the spread of the virus.
