The death of a child in a fire that consumed their displacement tent in the Atma camps in northern Syria
A child died, as a result of a fire that broke out in a tent for displaced people from the city of Al-Lataminah yesterday evening, in one of the camps in the town of Atma on the Syrian-Turkish border.
Our correspondent said that the child “Bilal Ahmed Al-Nouna” died as a result of a fire in a tent for displaced people from the town of Al-Lataminah in the northern countryside of Hama, in Al-Rawda camp within the Karama gathering in the Atma camps, while their tent that shelters them was burnt.
The Syria Response Coordinators team had reiterated its appeals to humanitarian organizations operating in Idlib governorate and its countryside, to work on improving the humanitarian situation for the displaced in the camps and to secure the necessary supplies to prevent the recurrence of these fires or their further spread in the coming months, which coincide with the advent of the summer season.
