The Civil Defense renews its call to the international community to take urgent measures before a humanitarian disaster occurs in Daraa
The Syrian Civil Defense called on the United Nations, the Security Council and the international community once again to take urgent action to protect civilians in Daraa before a humanitarian catastrophe occurs, in the second call of its kind within 4 days.
The Civil Defense said in a statement on Sunday, coinciding with the continued siege and bombardment of the Assad regime forces on Daraa Al-Balad, that the humanitarian situation is getting worse with the continuation of the siege, the loss of bread and drinking water, and the absence of any medical point.
The Civil Defense explained that Russia, which is trying to appear as a guarantor of the truce agreements in Daraa, cannot be trusted.
Yesterday evening, the Assad regime forces bombed the neighborhoods of Daraa Al-Balad with mortars and tanks, and this coincided with clashes between the people of the neighborhood and the forces of the Assad regime and the militias supporting it on the axis of Al-Manshiya, Al-Masry gas station and Al-Bahar area.
It is noteworthy that the Assad regime forces and its militias have besieged more than 11,000 families in Daraa al-Balad since late June, preventing the entry of any relief materials and trying to storm them and displace former fighters of the Syrian opposition.
