Assad artillery shelling killed and wounded civilians in Idlib and Aleppo countryside
Two civilians were killed and others were wounded this morning, after artillery shelling by Assad regime forces, targeting several villages and towns in Idlib and Aleppo countryside.
Our correspondent said: “A civilian was killed and others were wounded by artillery shelling of the Assad regime forces on the villages of Mirzaf and Mazraa, south of Ariha city, south of Idlib.”
He added: “Similar bombardment targeted the village of Tadeel, west of Aleppo, killing a girl child and injuring her sister, in addition to causing material damage to civilian property.”
Our correspondent indicated that Russian warplanes targeted with several air raids the vicinity of “Sheikh Bahr” town, north of Idlib, without receiving information about the casualties.
The military escalation targeting the de-escalation zone included in the March 5, 2020 agreement continues, by the Assad regime forces and the Russian forces, in clear violation of the agreement signed with the Turkish side.
Yesterday, the Syrian National Coalition warned of the escalation of military operations in Idlib Governorate, and called on the United Nations, the Security Council and the countries involved in the Syrian file to exert more pressure on the Assad regime and Russia to stop attacks targeting civilians in northwestern Syria.
