American newspaper: Putin strongly criticizes the military presence of Washington and Ankara in Syria
The American newspaper, The Hill, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had severely criticized Washington and Ankara for their military presence in Syria.
The newspaper confirmed that Putin, during his meeting with Bashar al-Assad in Moscow, attacked the foreign military presence in Syria, in reference to Turkey and America.
The newspaper pointed out that the Kremlin stated that the presence of foreign military forces in Syria impeded all efforts to end the crisis in Syria. The newspaper denied Putin’s claim that the Assad regime controls 90% of Syria, stressing that the Assad regime controls only 70%, according to the United Nations Commission of Inquiry.
And the newspaper pointed out that the United States last year tightened its sanctions on the Assad regime under the “Caesar Act” with the aim of ending the war.
It is reported that the Assad regime, with Russian military and diplomatic support, committed many heinous bloody massacres using various weapons, killing thousands of innocent civilians, amid silence from the international community, America and Europe.
