Erdogan expresses his hope to work with America, Russia and Iran to achieve peace in Syria and Iraq
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his hope that the United States, Russia, Iran and Turkey will work together to achieve peace and stability for the peoples of the region, whether in Syria or Iraq.
In response to a question about his position on the staying or withdrawal of US forces from Syria, the Turkish president indicated that he prefers the withdrawal of those foreign forces, and said: “If we are willing to serve peace in the world, there is no sense in staying in those areas for the sake of peace.”
Erdogan stressed that Turkey has built 100,000 brick houses in Syria for the displaced at the present time, and asked: “But what are other countries doing?”
It should be noted that Erdogan will head to Russia next Wednesday to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss the Syrian file, specifically the issue of Idlib and the escalation in it.
