New confirmed cases of COVID-19 were registered in northern Syria 921
The Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the “Early Warning and Response” network registered 921 new cases of Covid-19 in the liberated north of Syria.
The laboratory confirmed that 862 new infections were registered in the Idlib and Aleppo regions, bringing the total cases to 78,468 and the number of recovery cases to 45,144 after 309 new cases of recovery was registered.
The laboratory pointed out that 4 new deaths were reported during the past 24 hours, and that the process of classifying previous deaths as deaths related to coronavirus disease, is carried out by the Health Information System Unit.
Thus, the death toll in northern Syria climbed to 1446, and the total cases that were tested yesterday, 1500, which raises the number of analyzes to 281,500 tests in northern Syria.
In addition, the Spring of Peace regions registered 95 new infections, raising the total number to 8528, and the death toll remained at 56 cases, with no new deaths registered.
The rate of infection has previously increased in northern Syria, and this has led to an increase in the occupancy rate in hospitals, especially in intensive care departments.
