479 cases and 3 deaths of COVID-19 were recorded in northwestern Syria
Yesterday, northwestern Syria recorded more than 470 new infections with the emerging coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 86,515 since the start of the pandemic.
According to the report issued by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network, 479 cases of coronavirus were recorded yesterday, after 920 new analyses were conducted, while the number of recovery cases reached 212, 102 of them in Idlib governorate, and 110 in the “Olive Branch” and “Euphrates Shields” areas, bringing the number to 49,785 cases of recovery.
The infections were distributed among the cities and towns of Idlib governorate, so that the governorate recorded 293 new cases, 139 of them in Idlib city and its suburbs, 113 in the Harem region, while the cities and towns of the northern and eastern Aleppo countryside recorded 186 infections.
While the epidemiological surveillance laboratory recorded 3 deaths related to corona, bringing the number of deaths to 1696 deaths since the virus began spreading in northwestern Syria.
It is noteworthy that the number of analyzes that have been conducted has reached 296,515 since the outbreak of the pandemic in the middle of last year.
