5 deaths and 383 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in northwestern Syria
Yesterday, northwestern Syria recorded more than 380 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of infections to 88,423 since the virus began spreading.
According to the report issued by the Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning Network, 383 coronavirus cases were recorded yesterday, after 774 new analyses were conducted, while the number of recovery cases reached 231, 143 of them in Idlib Governorate, and 87 in the “Olive Branch” and “Euphrates shield” areas, bringing the number of recovery cases to 50,928.
The infections were distributed among the cities and towns of Idlib governorate, so that the governorate recorded 280 new infections, 118 of them in the Harem area, and 100 infections in Idlib city and its suburbs, while the cities and towns of the northern and eastern Aleppo countryside recorded 103 infections, 58 of them in the Afrin area, and 19 in the al-Bab area.
While the past hours recorded 5 deaths related to Coronavirus, bringing the number of deaths to 1,847 cases since the virus began spreading in northwest Syria, according to the epidemiological surveillance laboratory.
It is noteworthy that the number of analyses that were conducted until the 31st of last month, amounted to 300 thousand and 849 analyses since the pandemic outbreak in the middle of last year.
