Israeli airstrikes target a site for Iranian militias south of Damascus
The pro-Assad news agency, SANA, alleged that Israeli warplanes targeted an empty building south of the capital, Damascus, on Tuesday night.
The agency said: “At approximately 12.45 am today, Israel fired two missiles from the Golan Heights towards an empty building south Damascus.”
SANA added that “One of the missiles was shot down and no losses were caused”.
While the Israeli journalist denied via his Twitter account, saying: “It is unlikely that Israel will bomb non-military targets, and in similar attacks, Israel has targeted ammunition caches and Iranian tracking sites in Syria.”
The Israeli warplanes have intensified targeting sites in Syria, including Iranian ones, since the appointment of the last government headed by Naftali Bennett, last June.
