244 Covid-19 infections and 3 deaths were recorded in northern Syria
The Epidemiological Surveillance Laboratory of the Early Warning and Epidemic Response Network announced the registration of 244 Covid-19 cases in all Aleppo and Idlib regions, and 56 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in ” Peace Spring” areas.
The total number of Covid-19 infections has reached 99,319 and the number of recovery cases has reached 92,420 after 189 recovery cases were recoded.
The Laboratory indicated that three Covid19-related deaths were reported during the last period, according to deaths classification related to Covid-19 disease of the Health Information System Unit.
Thus, the Covid-19 death toll has increased to 2,403 in northern Syria and the total number of tests yesterday was 565, rising the number of analyses to 357,782 tests in northern Syria.
The infection rate has previously increased in northern Syria, and so increasing the occupancy rate in hospitals, especially in intensive care departments. The rate of vaccinated people in northwestern Syria is still low, and action should be taken to increase the demand for vaccination and to raise the percentage of vaccinated people.”
It should be noted that Covid-19 death toll is rising daily in northwestern Syria, while warnings about the repercussions of the pandemic outbreak are rising due to the overcrowding in the region, especially in the displacement camps.
