Erdogan: “Russia and Iran should take a real stand towards Syria as it has become a hotbed of terrorism”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday in a live interview with the Turkish broadcaster TRT, that both Russia and Iran should take a clear stand towards Syria as “it has become a hotbed of terrorist organizations.”
Erdogan stressed that the crisis and chaos are still exist in eastern Euphrates River. He considered that the United States does not play its role as it should be.
Erdogan pointed out that he discussed with the presidents of Russia and Iran during the Tehran summit the necessity of US withdrawal from east of the Euphrates River “as the terrorist organizations there benefit from their presence.”
Erdogan noted that “the U.S. has provided military training to the terrorists east of the Euphrates River, and unfortunately, these trainings have been continuing.”
Erdogan stressed that “the US ‘s sympathy for killing the leaders that we targeted recently in eastern Euphrates River is unacceptable. He added that “America’s involvement with the Syrian Democratic Forces will lead it to fall into the hole it dug.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has previously called on US to withdraw its troops from the areas east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria, stressing that “the file of the new military operation in northern Syria will remain on our agenda until our national security concerns are dispelled.”
