Russian forces train SDF and Assad regime forces to “deter the Turkish operation”
Russian media published yesterday a video showing military drills supervised by the Russian forces in northeastern Syria.
The Syria TV quoted the Russian “rusvesna.su” agency as saying: ” within the framework of deterring the Turkish operations in north Syria, the Syrian army with the participation of the Kurdish artillery and the Syrian Democratic Forces conducted a large-scale exercise to impose water barriers around Aleppo.”
The Russian military trainers trained the military tankers affiliated to the Assad regime, where they practiced submarine command and engaging in combat.
The air defense combat crews of the Assad regime participated in the drills, where they were trained to destroy drones.
This is the first declared exercise conducted by Russia for the Assad regime forces in the Syrian Democratic Forces-controlled areas in northeastern Syria.
