Israeli Prime Minister: We will prevent Iran from establishing terrorist bases in Syria
Israeli’s Prime Minister Yari Lapid tweeted that “Israel is seeking to prevent Iran from establishing terrorist bases in all the Middle East areas and especially Syria”
Lapid added, “Israel is working to prevent Iran from establishing terrorist bases through the Middle East and especially Syria, and it will not accept establishing Iranian bases or militias on Israel’s northern border.”
Lapid confirmed, “Israel will not allow Syria to be an axis for transferring weapons to terrorist organizations, and will not accept the establishment of Iranian bases or militia bases on our northern border.”
It is noteworthy that diplomats from Iran and western countries in the Austrian capital, Vienna, have been negotiating for months regarding the deal to restore restrictions on Tehran’s nuclear program in exchange for lifting the economic restrictions imposed by the former US president Donald Trump after his country withdrew from the agreement, in May 2018.
