The Negotiating Committee of the Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces affirmed on Saturday in a post on its official Facebook account the importance of achieving concrete and effective progress in implementing the four baskets of the Resolution 2254, in order to reach a political solution that meets the aspirations of the Syrians for freedom, democracy and justice.
This statement came during a meeting of the Negotiating Committee with the UN envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen. The Committee stressed that the detainees’ file is non-negotiable, and can’t be delayed any more.
The Negotiating Committee made it clear that it will not deviate from its main goal, which is to negotiate on behalf of the Syrian people in order to achieve the just demands of the revolution, and to hold accountable all those who committed a crime against the Syrians.
The Negotiating Committee pointed out that it adheres to freedom, justice and the civil and democratic state, and there is no compromise without these goals that our people have paid all they have to achieve.
