Ayman Safadi: The Arab foreign ministers reach a consensus on the need to end the Syrian crisis
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi confirmed that he discussed with Arab foreign ministers the Syrian crisis and ways to resolve it, pointing out that the Syrian crisis has been prolonged and there must be a leading Arab role to resolve the crisis and get rid of its repercussions.
Safadi said in an interview with the Russian “Sputnik” agency on Monday: “The Arab foreign ministers agreed on the need to end the Syrian crisis with a leading Arab role to solve this crisis, in a way allowing for a political solution to preserves Syria’s unity, rids it of terrorism, and restores its security and its regional and international role.”
Al-Safadi indicated that the issue of Syria’s return to the Arab League will be raised within the summit, and said: This is a meeting of Arab foreign ministers, and the summit will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, and all issues will be on the leaders’ table.
Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra previously told reporters: “The meetings allowed for consensual results to be reached after rich and in-depth consultations.”
It is noteworthy that the Arab Summit will kick off on Tuesday, in Algeria, headed by Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra, in its 31st session, which Lamamra took over the presidency from his Tunisian counterpart Othman Al-Jerandi.
