Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said in a press conference that her country is pursing the developments in Syria, calling for “de-escalation on all sides.”
Singh added that her country opposes military actions carried out by all parties because of their repercussions on escalation in Syria and Iraq.
She made it clear that all these actions have an impact on the fight against the Islamic State, pointing out that the United States has not changed its deployment in the region.
The National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, John Kirby, said on Tuesday that Turkey “faces a terrorist threat on its southern borders, and it has the right to defend itself.”
