Israeli official confirms that his country has thwarted 80% of the Iranian position in Syria
The Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee said that his country had thwarted 80% of the Iranian position in Syria and the transfer of advanced weapons to Lebanon, affirming that Qassem Soleimani’s vision was obstructed in both countries.
This statement came during an interview published on Thursday by the Emirati newspaper “Al-Ain”. Adraee added that “the Iranian military position in Syria has not reached the stage that they were keen, worked and hoped to achieve by the end of 2022.”
Adraee confirmed that Israel was also able to obstruct the vision of the Quds Force’s commander, who was killed at the beginning of 2020, Qassem Soleimani, and to thwart many threats to Israel.
Adraee made it clear that Soleimani’s vision included the deployment of hundreds of “surface-to-surface” and “surface-to-air” missiles on Syrian and Lebanese territories, and the establishment of a sub-organization of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” militia in the Golan Heights, but it was thwarted through a strategy crystallized by the exercise of military force.
Adraee held the Assad regime responsible for what is happening in Syria, accusing it of allowing the continuation of Iranian activities and the activities of Iran’s followers in the region.
Adraee pointed out that Iran continues to strengthen and arm its terrorist arms on the Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Yemeni’s territories and other countries.
The Israeli army shelled last Tuesday the vicinity of Damascus airport and a number of farms in the Sayeda Zeinab area, where the Lebanese Hezbollah militia and Iran are deployed, killing two people.
