Cavusoglu: A quadripartite meeting is set be held to discuss the normalization process with the Assad regime
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in a TV interview with the Turkish “NTV” channel that representatives of the Assad regime, Russia, and Turkey will hold a meeting in the coming days to discuss normalization between Damascus and Ankara.
Cavusoglu made it clear that the meeting will be at the level of deputy foreign ministers to prepare a road map for the normalization process between Assad regime and Turkey.
The Russian news agency “TASS” quoted Cavusoglu as saying that meeting’s procedures were discussed during the last telephone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu hold on May 24 a telephone call with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and discussed issues related to the quadripartite meeting on Syria.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the two ministers discussed issues related to the quadripartite meeting on Syria in Moscow.
