US State Department: “We are concerned about the increased violence in northern Syria”

The spokesman for the US State Department, Matthew Miller, tweeted that “We are concerned with the reports of increased violence in northern Syria over recent days.”

Miller added that “We condemn any escalation of violence, and urge all parties to deescalate to preserve stability.”

Assad regime’s media said that “colossal military reinforcements of the Assad regime have reached to norther Aleppo countryside. Footages published on social media demonstrated military convoys heading towards northern country coincided with holding the 20th session of Astana meetings.

The Assad regime’s reinforcements were preceded by shelling of northern Syria, targeting the al-Amal camp in the countryside of Afrin, north of Aleppo, causing civilian casualties.
