“Human Rights Watch” organization: Tens of thousands of displaced people in northeast Syria camps do not receive sufficient assistance
“Human Rights Watch” organization said in its report that tens of thousands of displaced people in crammed camps and shelters in northeast Syria do not receive an adequate aid, which negatively reflects on their basic rights.
The organization affirmed in the report that the United Nations and other aid agencies should urgently pay attention to the critical humanitarian situation in the informal camps and collective shelters.
The report pointed out that the assistance provided by the UN agencies to the camps in the region is inconsistent, which leaves some of the camps, especially the informal ones, without sufficient or sustained aid.
The report mentioned that the multiple gaps lead to the collapse of the hygiene and health services and shortages in the main resources during the period of highest or lowest temperatures.
The “Syria Response Coordination Group” previously confirmed in a report that the movement of Bab Al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey is still completely suspended for humanitarian aid entry into Syria, though Bab Al-Salama crossing witnesses a very limited movement humanitarian aid entry, while Al-Rai crossing is witnessing a complete suspension of aid entry.
The report pointed out that the UN Security Council has entered a state of complete coma over the humanitarian situation in northwestern Syria.
The report called on the international community to find an urgent solution to the issue of humanitarian aid, and urged all media agencies to shed light on the humanitarian situation in the region.
