Pentagon reveals the toll of recent attacks targeting its bases in Syria and Iraq
U.S. Department of Defense revealed the number of attacks targeting its bases in Syria and Iraq since October 17, 2023.
Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said in a press conference: “The total number of attacks since last October 17th until November 30th has reached 74 attacks.”
Singh added that the recent documented attack targeted US base in Syria Tuesday, November 28, 2023, and no causalities were reported.
Pentagon Spokesman Brigadier General, Pat Ryder, said previously that Iranian-backed militia attacks on US troops in Syria and Iraq have halted during the recent days due to the truce in Gaza.
According to Ryder, the attacks on US troops since October have resulted in injuring 60 US soldiers, including dozens of severe brain injuries.
