A child was killed in a direct shooting by Assad regime forces on agricultural lands in eastern Idleb
A child was killed and another one was injured in a direct shooting by Assad regime forces in Maarat al-Naasan in eastern Idleb countryside.
Syria Civil Defence said in a Facebook post that the 15-year-old child, Abdullah Haider, was killed in a direct shooting while he was gathering mushrooms in agricultural lands of Maarat al-Naasan in eastern Idleb countryside.
Syria Civil Defence added that Haider survived an explosion caused by Assad regime’s remnants of war, while he was playing in his town, seriously injured him that day.
“Syria Network for Human Rights” (SNHR) issued a report in which it documented the killing of four civilians, including a child, on last Saturday, 27 January 2024, at the hands of various warring forces in Syria.
SNHR condemned in its daily report the ongoing violence operations against civilians, confirming that 91% of the killings were at the hands of Assad regime forces and its militias.
The “Jusoor” Center said in a report: “The Assad regime forces aim, through the ongoing military escalation for more than three months in northwestern Syria, to halt the frequent attacks on their positions,” because its continuation may lead to changing the rules of engagement on the contact lines in Idleb.”
The center added in its report that the Assad regime forces focus their shelling on civilians, to inflict as much damage as possible on them and push them to exert pressure on the opposition and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, and hold them responsible for the collapse of the truce in the region.
