Several people were killed and injured by Israeli shelling on Assad regime-held areas in Aleppo countryside
Several people were killed and others were injured early on Monday due to Israeli airstrikes on several sites of Assad regime forces in Aleppo countryside.
Syria state media “SANA” confirmed at around 12:20 a.m. the Israeli planes launched airstrikes on many sites in southeastern Aleppo.
SANA quoted an unnamed military source as saying: The strikes led to fatalities and material damage without specifying the identity of the deaths.
Russian Sputnik news agency emphasized that the airstrikes hit directly a copper smelting factory in the vicinity of Hayyan town in Aleppo countryside.
For its part, Assad regime’s Defence Ministry announced that several people were killed and injured in addition to material damage caused by the Israeli shelling on sites in the vicinity of Aleppo.
On May 29, 2024, a child was killed and dozens were injured in Israeli air attacks on Syria’s central region, according to Syrian state media.
The targeting came after Israeli airstrikes on sites of Asaad regime forces in al-Furqalus region, southeastern Homs, as they targeted Iranian-linked trucks.
Israel has been launching for years hundreds of attacks and airstrikes on Syria, targeting sites of Assad regime forces and targets of Iranian militias and Hezbollah, including weapons and ammunitions depots in various regions.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, since the beginning of 2024, “Israel has targeted the Syrian territories 28 times,” resulting in “hitting and destroying about 56 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles of the Assad regime forces.”
