A drone targets a truck loaded with arms belonging to Iranian militias in Syria
A drone carried out an aerial attack, in the middle of Friday night, targeting a truck loaded with Iranian weapons in Deir Ezzor governorate, eastern Syria.
The attack targeted a truck loaded with weapons for Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia in Ashayer village on the border with Iraq in al-Bukamal city in Deir Ezzor countryside, according to local sources.
On its part, Al-Mayadeen channel stated that “a drone targeted a military site in western Bukamal city, eastern Deir Ezzor, which caused a huge explosion in the region, without identifying the extent of the damage.
The same channel added that the attack led to the killing of the prominent leader known as (Al-Haj Askar) the commander of Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia in Bukamal area.
The raids came two days after Iranian militias launched an attack with drones and missiles on the US “Kharab al-Jir” base in Hasakah Governorate.
It is noteworthy that, on last February 2, US forces carried out a series of airstrikes targeting Iranian militia sites in Syria and Iraq.
