Washington steps up their bases in Syria with 15 Apache helicopters

US forces reinforced their bases in northeastern region of Syria with helicopters and military equipment to strengthen their offensive capabilities in anticipation of any attack.

Sputnik agency quoted a Syrian military source as saying: “US forces reinforced their bases with 15 Apache helicopters and military equipment.”

The source added that “a US plane landed at the Kharab Al-Jir base in Al-Hasakah countryside, carrying air defense batteries, logistical and military materials, and about 25 soldiers.”

According to local sources in the region, the international coalition sent a military convoy on Friday evening that included shipments of weapons, armored vehicles, ammunition and air defense systems from its bases in Iraq through the Iraqi border crossing.

The sources suggested in an interview with Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed newspaper that the air system’s batteries could be distributed to the international coalition forces in each of their base sin east and north of Deir Ezzor.

Private sources, from Deir Ezzor countryside, previously reported to the newspaper that a military cargo plane belonging to the US forces operating under the umbrella of the International Coalition arrived at the coalition base on Thursday evening, coming from the international coalition bases in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
