Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelattty, said: “his country supports all the Turkish efforts made to resolve disputes between Ankara and the Assad regime and normalize relations with it.

Abdelattty’s statement came during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan.

Abdelattty added that “Egypt welcomes Ankara’s willingness to resolve disputes with Assad regime in a way that preserves Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.”

Abdelattty added that “Egypt support every sincere effort to reach a comprehensive settlement of the Syrian crisis according to the international framework.”

Abdelattty called on the international community to bear its responsibility to reach peaceful solutions and stability and to achieve peace in the region.

It is noteworthy that these statements come in light of regional and international diplomatic movements to resolve the Syrian crisis that has been ongoing for years, as the concerned countries seek to find permanent solutions that guarantee stability and security in the region.
