Syria Negotiation Commission holds Assad regime accountable for all the killings and random explosions in Syria
Syria Negotiation Commission (SNC) confirmed that advancing the political solution according to the international resolutions is the only way to restore peace and stability to Syria.
SNC’s statement came after a truck bomb explosion on August 7, 2024, at the entrance of Azaz city in norther Aleppo countryside, killing and injuring more than twenty people.
SNC held Assad regime all the killings, terrorism, and random explosions targeting civilians in Syria.
The SNC pointed out in a statement that it rejects terrorism in all its forms and in all Syria regions.
SNC called on all the stakeholders and international community to investigate the explosion and uncover the perpetrators and hold them accountable.
According to the statement “It is necessary make progress towards the political process as stipulated in the international resolutions, because it is the only way to restore peace and stability in Syria, put an end to terrorism, and stop all the security, military, and economic deterioration engulfing all Syria regions.
A massive explosion struck the Al-Shatt checkpoint, located at the western entrance to the city of Azaz, which belongs to the military police, on August 7, 2024. It turned out that the explosion occurred in a truck that was trying to cross the checkpoint towards the Afrin region.
The explosion killed nine civilians and injured 13 others, some of them in critical conditions, in addition to the burning of 7 motorcycles and 3 cars that were at the site of the explosion.
