Al-Fateh al-Mobin announces its readiness to any escalation in north-west Syria
Al-Fateh al-Mobin operations room which includes the opposition factions, most notably Hayat Tahrir al-sham, announced its readiness to any development or escalation in north-west Syria, while sources close to Assad regime warned of “serious consequences” for any attempt aimed at changing the lines of contact.
Al-Fateh al-Mobin said in a statement that Assad regime and Iranian militias are carrying out an ongoing aggression on civilians in northern Syria as the recent weeks and days have seen bombardment by heavy artillery and warplanes.
The statement added that the escalation led to the killing of 8 civilians and injuring 38 others, most of them are children, women, and elderly, in addition to internally displacement waves towards the western and border areas.
The statement held Assad regime and Iran the responsibility for the displacement that deepens the suffering and tragedy of people, emphasizing at the same time that the opposition factions will not hesitate to defend themselves and protect the people.
On the other hand, “Al-Watan” newspaper affiliated with the Assad regime quoted sources warning that any attempt to change the lines of contact in northwestern Syria would cast a “disastrous” shadow on the region, starting with undermining the joint Russian-Turkish agreements.
