Israel: We will cut off the Lebanese Hezbollah militia’s pipeline through Syria
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said in a press statement: “We will cut off the Lebanese Hezbollah militia’s pipeline from Iran through Syria by continuing the Israeli airstrikes against Iranian militia in Syria.”
Netanyahu added during a visit to the Lebanon’s northern border that “the key to retore peace and security in northern Israel and the key to restore our residents in the north is firstly and foremost to keep away the Hezbollah militia beyond the Litani River.
Netanyahu added that “Israel is working to thwart any attempt by the Lebanese Hezbollah to rearm and would firmly respond to any act against us.”
local media sources confirmed today earlier that “several drones likely coming from Iraq entered the Syrian Golan and areas of northern Palestine amid Israeli warplanes and helicopters flying over the region.”
It is noteworthy that the last few days have seen an escalation in Israeli operations against targets in Syria, and these attacks come in the context of increasing regional tensions, especially what is happening in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon, where Israel seeks to curb any movements that would strengthen Iranian influence near its northern borders
