Syrian FM and Kuwaiti FM discuss in a phone call the ways to boost the joint relations
Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed with the Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, Abdullah Al-Yahya, received a phone call from his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al-Shibani, and they discussed ways to enhance relations between the two peoples.
This conversation is the first one between the two sides since the deposed Assad regime’s fall, according to a statement by the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said that the two sides address the developments in Syria and the ways to enhance the strong fraternal between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, without additional details.
The phone call comes amid an Arab movement towards Damascus, and the arrival of regional and international officials to the country on a daily basis, to hold meetings with the leader of the new Syrian administration, Ahmed Al-Sharaa.
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani previously discussed with a delegation from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the future of Syria and ways of cooperation between the two countries, during their meeting in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
According to a statement by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian delegation confirmed its government’s support for the new administration and the continuation of its work in Syria.
