Qatar affirms its unwavering support for the Syrians in all humanitarian and developmental fields
Qatar affirms its firm position towards the Syrian people by continuing its support in all humanitarian and development fields.
The previous statement came during a phone call yesterday between the Minister of State at the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Khalaifa with his Syrian counterpart, Assad al-Shaibani.
The two ministers discussed the ways of cooperation relations and how to enhance and develop them between the two counties, in addition to discuss the latest developments in Syria and Qatar’s humanitarian efforts to relieve the Syrians.
In a statement by the Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Khalaifa confirmed its full support for Syria, especially in the humanitarian and development fields, to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people for a decent life and building a state of institutions and laws.
In his turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the new Syrian administration expressed his gratitude for the State of Qatar for its firm and unwavering position towards the Syrian people.
Last Monday, the first Qatari aid plane arrived at Damascus International Airport carrying medical and relief supplies. The plane was received by a delegation from the Qatari Red Crescent and the Syrian Red Crescent.
It is noteworthy that Qatar is the second country, after Turkey, to officially reopen its embassy in the Syrian capital following Assad regime’s fall on 8 December 2024.
