Al-Shaibani arrives in Riyadh to participate in the expanded ministerial meeting on Syria
Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad al-Shaibani, arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday, evening, according to SPA.
This visit aims to participate in the expanded international ministerial meeting on Syria hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, Walid Abdulkareem al-Kereiji, received al-Shibani by his arrival at the King Khalid International Airport, according to SPA.
Riyadh hosted today, Sunday, a meeting with Arab and international presence to discuss steps to guarantee peace and stability in Syria. The meeting is considered an extension of the meeting hosted by the Jordanian Aqaba city on 14 December.
The meeting will be held with the participation of the foreign ministers of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt, in addition to Turkey, Britain, and Germany.
The United States and Italy will also participate at the level of Deputy Foreign Minister, along with the Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Al-Shaibani.
In turn, Anadolu Agency confirmed that the main agenda of the meeting will revolve around the steps required to ensure stability and security in Syria.
